Warranties and Claim

Thank you for selecting the JRSports - Durham Cricket Store for your cricket product purchases. We value your trust and confidence in our products and services. We are proud of the high quality of our products and strive to guarantee our customers feel fully confident in their purchases.

Warranty Coverage:

JRSports - Durham Cricket Store provides a limited warranty on any manufacturing defects in the materials at their discretion for 10 days from the date of purchase for all products sold through our eCommerce store.
 

Warranty Claims:

If you feel a warranty claim is needed, please get in touch with us at jrsports.ca@gmail.com or complete the form below to initiate a warranty claim. We may require proof of purchase and photographic or video evidence of the defect to process your claim. You must send the product back to us so we can inspect it.

Warranty Remedies:

If our warranty policy covers a defect, we will choose to repair or replace the product at our discretion. If the identical item is not in stock, we will provide a substitute item of equal worth. Please be aware that we do not offer refunds for items that are included in our warranty policy.
 

Warranty Exclusions:

Our Warranty policy does not cover the following:

  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, or accident.

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Insufficient knocking in and preparation before use ( bats )

  • Superficial cracking

  • Damaged edges or toe, or excessive use

  • Labour

  • Knocked bat and Used.


In the replacement bat, the remaining warranty period on the existing product will only be carried onto the replacement bat.

 

Note: We do not take responsibility for any loss or missing packages caused by the service provider. We can take care only if the package is insured by you. Furthermore, it is important to note that our warranty policy applies solely to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Warranty provided for Cricket Bats:

It is important to understand that cricket bats are prone to breaking due to the nature of the game. While some bats may have longer lifespans, all bats will eventually break. Most companies do not offer warranties on their bats, particularly for the edges and toes, which are the most vulnerable areas. Slight damage such as face cracks or slight dents on bats is considered normal, as English Willow is naturally soft. However, this damage can be minimized with proper preparation, usage, and maintenance. Our knocking-in service is an effective way to prolong the life of your bat and ensure it lasts a little longer.

  • International grade/Players quality (LE and higher) – warranty of 3 months starting from the date of purchase.

  • 5 Star/grade 1 bats (deemed by manufacturer) 3 months.

  • Grade 2 bats - 2 months.

  • Grade 3 and below - 30 Days.

  • Kashmir Willow bats – 30 Days.

  • Bats used with bowling machines are not returnable due to the potential harm they cause to cricket bats.
     

The warranty is valid only for bats that are found to be defective according to the manufacturer's specifications. If the bat's handle breaks during that period, it will be repaired at no cost. There is no warranty for the edges or the toe of any bat. The warranty covers internal stress cracks that are not visible. Shipping and labour are not covered. Warranty on bats is completely under management discretion.

Warranty provided for Cricket Balls:

Cricket balls are manufactured in Pakistan and India, and offer zero warranty on cricket balls, therefore, we cannot offer you any warranty either. As it's the nature of the game where you hit the leather off the ball (literally sometimes), your cricket ball will break from wear and tear eventually. Cheaper balls will deteriorate quicker than expensive ones.

 

Warranty provided for Other Equipment:

We accept returns made within 10 days from when you receive the product. All items must be in their original packaging and unused. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs. Limited warranty on manufacturing defects carried by the individual brands and defective products inspected by the individual brands. In all cases, shipping and labour are not covered. eg. if a bat handle breaks we will replace the handle for free BUT there is a $40 labour charge and you will need to pay as well as the shipping cost.

Warranty Disclaimer:

Our warranty policy is the sole and exclusive remedy for defects in materials. We do not provide any other warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Procedure for Warranties Claim:

Provide proof of purchase and any necessary photos or videos of the defect to assist in processing your claim. Our team will evaluate your claim based on the information provided and determine if it is covered under our warranty policy. If your claim is approved, we will proceed accordingly.
